Hotels compete for business.  Credit unions compete for their members’ business.  Why is it that Expedia has been able to setup connections with most airlines and a bunch of hotels and book everything as one big package?  What if you had a CU service like Expedia that was able to setup accounts at CU’s across the nation?  The concept of number portability, similar to cell phones, has been mentioned quite a few times across the industry.  Imagine if CU’s could corner that market completely?  You CU account is good at any CU in the US and can be transferred by the flip of a switch?  If only…
